(insidesomalia.org)-Ismael Abdi Mohamed, a TFG parliament MP in the assembly's headquarter, Baidao blamed the government on Monday of handing over one of Mogadishu's neighboring most important strategic regions, Lower Shabelle south of Somalia's capital to groups that are not loyal to the administration.
In a press conference in Baidao, the MP told the media he is worried on region's administration which is still under what he described as groups that had been in charge of the province by force without the mandate of its residents.
"We see that the government handed over the Lower Shabelle to groups that were in charge of the province in 17 years without its peoples' mandate, and the people are under critical pressure of human rights violations"
The local authorities of the region dismissed the MPs comments. The governor of Lower shabelle Abdulqadir Sheik Mohamed Nur, said "these MPs are not worrying about the peoples situation, but have private interest to achieve"
The MP alarmed that Somalia's flag is not flying in that area of the country and was changed to another black one which he said "I do not know where it come from"
Confused claims of land control and revenue administration in the local authorities have paralyzed Somalia's regions with wide incomprehensive regulatory system a time the country is recovering from the domination of former warlord and warlord assistants, whose number in power reduced after PM Nor Adde's nomination, but those holding positions yet claim they represent their clans for the posts.
Unlike this conflict, Hiiraan Province, central Somalia was in taxes revenue control dispute that resulted deputy governor, Abdirahman Bukri to depart from Bladwein, the provincial capital and make his temporary base in Kalabeyr north of the city as protest.
He and his governor, Yusuf Daba-geed had clashed on managing of the regions taxes revenues.
Mr. Bukri said today that their disagreement is now solved under a meditation spearheaded by the Ethiopian military personnel in the region, but declined to comment on what they have agreed.
